Full description: Reference to new global trends in landscape architecture (incl. nature-based solutions, ecosystem services). An area of project activities related to landscaping and greenspace shaping, the aim of which is to use nature-inspired solutions that have a positive impact on the surroundings, the quality of the environment and the local climate. Knowledge on nature-operating processes, necessary for the landscape architect to acquire the ability to consciously transform space. Knowledge on the specific landscape features (with particular emphasis on greenery), necessary for the correct development of plant species selection criteria in relation to the geographical regions of Poland and Central Europe. Shaping pro-ecological attitudes in the profession of a landscape architect

Learning outcomes: Student knows and understands: selected facts and objects as well as phenomena and development trends in landscape architecture at an advanced level; laws of nature and activities carried out in the environment, related to its shaping and protection at an advanced level. Student can: use specialist terminology, both orally and in writing; use their knowledge of issues related to the natural environment and its shaping in landscaping. Student is ready to: take responsibility for the effects of decisions made in the field of shaping the landscape and space, including the impact on the environment and human safety.
